Gatlinburg NYE
Since 1987, Gatlinburg has welcomed the New Year in grand style. The family-friendly celebration Gatlinburg NYE is one of the largest organized New Year’s Eve events in the nation, with crowds of up to 500,00 people!
Gatlinburg is the place to be for New Years! We welcome the arrival of 2017 in unique style with the 29th Annual Gatlinburg NYE Eve Ball Drop and Fireworks Show! It is held around the intersection of Parkway and Historic Nature Trail. People will gather at the base of the Space Needle late Thursday night, December 31 to bring in the New Year.
At the stroke of midnight on January 1, 2017, fireworks blast off of the 400-foot tall Space Needle’s rooftop. Special music is choreographed and produced by Pyro-Shows of LaFollette, Tennessee. Rhythmic LED lights have been added to the Space Needle tower, making for a spectacular display.
The entire city of Gatlinburg celebrates New Year’s Eve in a big way. Many restaurants and businesses offer celebration specials. For more information on New Year’s Eve in Gatlinburg, call the Gatlinburg Convention and Visitors Bureau at 800-588-1817.
