Knoxville Summer Activities
The weather is warmer and the sun shines brighter. When those lazy days by the pool get a little too boring, Knoxville has more than enough fun events to keep you entertained all summer! Are you looking for non-event activities to engage your family or pet? There’s plenty of fun things to do throughout Knoxville.
Bike Boat Brew & Bark
Bike Boat Brew & Bark celebrates the outdoor adventurer, the dog lover and the craft beer enthusiast. Also, the locals and the tourist looking to discover a secret in Knoxville’s urban wilderness. It’s a place where you can ride your bike, bring your dog and explore Knoxville in a new way on this special day! Then live it, experience it, and continue to explore it all year long! We’ll show you how at Volunteer Landing on the Tennessee River!
Let’s highlight a few activities. The day will be filled with the Visit Knoxville Powerboat Classic races and the Riverwalk Tour with Jack Neely. Also, Pet Photo Contest by Young-Williams, TVA Expo and Urban Hike with TVA. Demonstrations by Smoky Mountain Dock Dogs and Hoyt Flyboard, Urban Bike Ride from Cherokee Farm, Brewery Slow Rides, and much more!
Knoxville Brewfest
Location
This year, we announce a new venue wrapping around the fountains and lake at the base of the Sunsphere and Tennessee Amphitheater. With more space, seating and natural shade. You’ll enjoy strolling along the water while sampling over 300 beers from Tennessee and beyond!
Parking
There is parking available in the nearby city parking garages at Market Square. Also, State Street and Locust Street.
Please consider taking public transportation. Visit www.katbus.com for schedules and routes. Riding your bike or using a designated driver to and from the Fest.
Entry Check-in begins at 3 pm, with gates opening at 4 pm. Please bring a printed copy of your ticket, or have the digital copy ready at the gate. You must have a ticket and be 21 or older and present a government-issued ID.
Food and Water
There will be water provided. Please drink lots of it.
Food is NOT included in the ticket price. There are several food vendors on-site, or you are welcome to bring in small snacks.
Bags/Chairs
You are welcome to bring in a bag or purse for your personal items. You can also bring in chairs, but please keep them off the walkways. There will be plenty of seating available on site too.
Children and Pets Children and pets are NOT allowed. Please find a sitter for the Fest and enjoy an afternoon out.
Overconsumption
Be sure to have a good meal and drink plenty of water before you come. Should you feel that you have had too much, please find a volunteer or police officer and they will get you to the on-site medical team. Your safety is important to us; please consume responsibly.
