The Christmas Season is finally here! Time to revert back to childhood excitement and gaze upon all the twinkling lights and believe in Christmas Miracles. So warm up the cocoa and get out your calendars, were listing the top 5 holiday events you can’t miss in Knoxville Tennessee (cue the Christmas music..)

Nov 25 – Regal Celebration of Lights

Location – Market Square, Market Street, and Krutch Park Extension 6-9 pm

Experience downtown Knoxville turned in to a magical Christmas village. Let the 42-foot tall animated Christmas tree in Krutch Park light up your holiday spirit with over 100,000 lights. Take a ride on the train for children of all ages, a Christmas marketplace, and get down with WDVX’s Holiday Ho-Ho-Hoedown beginning at 6:30. There will be tons of free activities, including: pictures with Santa Claus, balloon animals, face painting, hot cocoa provided by the Salvation Army, and so much more.

Nov 25-Jan 8 – Knoxville’s Holiday on Ice

Location –Market Square

Make a few special holiday memories by skating into the holidays in Market Square. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for children 12yrs and younger. Admission includes skate rental and sales tax. The rink will be open every day except Christmas Day.

Dec 2 – WIVK Christmas Parade

Location: Gay Street at 7 pm

Nothing says Christmas is coming than a parade! And of course, Santa will be there with all his friends!

Dec 9 –Christmas in Chilhowee

Location: Chilhowee Park and Exposition Center 6-9 pm

We’re super excited about this event! A forest of lighted trees floating on the lake, yes, please! All the things that make the holidays special will be at this event, including Santa Claus, marshmallow roasting, hot cocoa, face painting, train rides, gingerbread house building, and so much more.

Dec 31 –New Year’s Eve on the Square

Location: Market Square 10:30 pm

What better way to celebrate the end of 2016 and party into a new year than watch the ball drop in Market Square with all your friends! Mae Beth Harris will perform at 10:30. Bring on 2017, we’re ready for a new start.
